Tuning the Ukulele is very essential to playing a note, chord or even a song. Tuning the
Ukulele is like tuning up your car or else it would sound funny.  Tuning is basically matching
the notes to a certain tone so that it sounds the same. So when you press the play button on
the media player I want you to close your eyes and listen to it several times. Now play your
strings, does it sound the same? When tuning the ukulele first press the play key on the
windows media player and listen to the notes that are being played. When playing any
instrument, each note that you play on that instrument has it's own unique name, just like
you and I. As you notice the first string on the ukulele is the note "g". Now try playing the
"g" note on the media player. Now try playing the first string (g) on your Ukulele. Does that
note sound the same? If not make adjustments using the key on your Ukulele making the
sound on your "g" string go higher or lower until both the notes on the Ukulele and the Media
player sounds exactly the same, The note "g". Follow along with the media player playing the
"g" string until you get used to the sound of the "g" note. Now follow the same pattern for
the rest of your strings.  Remember don't get frustrated !! Have fun!!! If you do get
frustrated, take a break and don't give up!! That's it you're doing great! Play that string one
more time. (Like as if I can hear you haha just joking) keep going.
