Tuning the Ukulele
Tuning the Ukulele Can be very difficult at times, Not
nowadays. They have electronics that will tell you if
your string is flat or sharp. You can pick up tuners for
the Ukulele from various retail stores such as the
Ukulele Source on 5th Street. You also can use your ear
to tune. Play the samples below and listen to the pitch,
then try to play along with it. Listen for a wave sound,
between the ukulele and the sample. The faster the
wave the farther you are in pitch. You want the wave to
be as close to nothing as possible. If you have a slow
wave then the pitch is pretty close. Keep tuning, there
shouldn't be a wave eventually.  Please note this
method should only be done by experienced players. If
you are not an experienced player, I suggest getting a
tuner. If you are not near the pitch there will not be a
wave either, and your chances of breaking your strings
are possible.
